Sand Finish.
Sand-finish stucco and plaster — a fine, uniformly textured surface with the warmth of natural aggregate.
What it is
Sand finish uses graded sand within the finish coat to produce a consistent, lightly granular texture. It reads as a quiet, traditional surface and pairs well with limestone, brick, and natural stone trim. Sand finish can be tinted integrally or coated.
We apply sand finish on residential exteriors, pool decks, and interior accent walls.
Our process
From the first site visit to the final coat.
Every project follows a sequence — refined over thirty years and adapted to the substrate, climate, and finish system.
- 01
Substrate prep
Scratch and brown coats prepared to gauge.
- 02
Finish application
Sand-aggregate finish hand-troweled and floated for even texture.
- 03
Color sealing
Optional integral or surface coloring.
Common questions
Sand Finish — frequently asked.
Can the sand finish texture vary between walls?
The aggregate grade controls the texture coarseness. We typically install a single grade across the elevation; samples confirm the grade before mobilization.
