Lazar Stucco delivered a finish on our show home that was indistinguishable from the European originals our designer referenced. Crews were professional and timelines were honored.

Our story

Solo and Vali Lazar left Romania for America and brought a craft displayed throughout Europe for centuries — vibrant and hand-applied stucco and plaster. They founded Lazar Stucco in 1995 and have spent three decades putting that method on residential and commercial work across the Southeast.
The materials matter as much as the hands. We apply top of the line products including our own Marmolaz — the European mineral plaster system we trust for breathable, hand-troweled finishes that age the way real plaster should.

We have used Lazar on several restoration projects with historically accurate detailing. The quality of their lime-based work is exceptional.

From custom moulding profiles to large-scale exteriors, the Lazar team executes at a level that few contractors in the Southeast can match.

Detailed shop drawings, on-time mobilization, and finishes that hold up. Lazar is on a very short list of plaster contractors we recommend without hesitation.

The interior Venetian work in our last project was the kind of detail clients photograph and remember. Lazar is the team to call when the finish has to be right.

Solo and Vali and their crew approach plaster as a craft. The work speaks for itself, and so do the homeowners who keep referring them.

Common questions
Pulled from three decades of conversations with builders, architects, and homeowners. If yours isn't answered here, call us — we'll walk through your project.
We are based in Atlanta, Georgia and serve residential and commercial projects across the entire Southeast — including Buckhead, Sandy Springs, Brookhaven, Dunwoody, Alpharetta, the North Georgia mountains, and coastal markets from the Carolinas to Florida.
Hard-coat is a true cementitious stucco built up in three coats over lath — durable, breathable, and the standard for high-end residential work. Synthetic finishes (EIFS) use foam insulation with an acrylic finish coat; they install faster but can trap moisture if detailed incorrectly. We do both, and we are honest about which is right for the project.
Properly installed lime-based finishes routinely last 30 to 50 years and continue to age beautifully — they breathe, self-heal hairline cracks, and develop a soft patina rather than peeling. We have lime work in Atlanta from the late 1990s that is still in original condition.
Yes — most of our work comes through that channel. We provide shop drawings, on-site samples for finish approval, and we coordinate directly with the builder's superintendent on sequencing. Our crews are accustomed to high-end residential workflows and finish standards.
We sit in the $$$ tier for finished, hand-troweled work. Pricing is project-specific — driven by square footage, finish system, substrate, scaffolding, and access. We provide a written proposal after a site visit or detailed plans review.
Exterior hard-coat on a custom home typically runs four to ten weeks of on-site time depending on size and weather. Interior Venetian or Marmorino is usually one to three weeks per area. Restoration timelines depend on assessment. We commit to a schedule in writing and honor it.
We work directly with builders, architects, and homeowners across the Southeast. Send us the project — we'll walk through it and put together a proposal.
