Interior Plaster.
Hand-applied interior plaster walls and ceilings — flat, skip-troweled, or burnished. The quiet luxury upgrade over painted drywall.
What it is
Interior plaster is what painted drywall is trying to be. Applied over blueboard or properly prepared substrates, hand-troweled plaster produces a wall surface with depth — slight variation in light, no panel seams, no roller stipple, no sound transmission of a hollow board.
We install flat interior plaster across full residences, and we layer specialty finishes (Venetian, Marmorino, polished concrete-look) over the same base.
Our process
From the first site visit to the final coat.
Every project follows a sequence — refined over thirty years and adapted to the substrate, climate, and finish system.
- 01
Blueboard or substrate prep
Joints reinforced; corner beads installed; substrate primed for plaster bonding.
- 02
Base coat
Two-pass leveling base coat, gauged flat.
- 03
Finish coat
Hand-troweled finish to the specified texture — flat, skip-trowel, or burnished.
Common questions
Interior Plaster — frequently asked.
Can plaster be installed over existing drywall?
Yes, with the right primer and a thin gauge. We assess each wall — sometimes the drywall comes off, sometimes it stays. Either way, the result is a properly prepared plaster substrate.
