Balustrades.
Cast and hand-formed plaster balustrades — exterior balcony and stair rails with the weight and detailing of stone.
What it is
Balustrades are run-on-site or shop-cast in cementitious or lime-based mixes, finished to read as cast stone. We coordinate with the structural engineer for code-rated railings on balconies and stairs.
Profiles are templated to the architect's section, with rail and base courses tied into adjacent stucco and trim.
Our process
From the first site visit to the final coat.
Every project follows a sequence — refined over thirty years and adapted to the substrate, climate, and finish system.

Common questions
Balustrades — frequently asked.
Can plaster balustrades meet residential code?
Yes — we engineer a steel core inside the visible plaster profile so the rail meets load and height requirements while reading as cast stone.
