Intonachino Stucco.

Italian intonachino — fine-grain lime-based exterior with a soft, troweled finish. A refined alternative to coarse-aggregate stucco.

What it is

Intonachino is a finer-grained lime stucco originating from central Italy. The finish coat uses a smaller aggregate and is hand-troweled in tight passes, producing a surface that catches light differently from conventional stucco — softer, with a slight cloud of variation.

We use intonachino on residences where the architectural detailing — moulding, columns, balustrades — wants to read as cleanly as the field. The finer aggregate keeps profiles crisp.

Our process

From the first site visit to the final coat.

Every project follows a sequence — refined over thirty years and adapted to the substrate, climate, and finish system.

Fine-aggregate lime finish, hand-troweled in two thin passes.

  3. 03

    Polished or matte cure

Optional final pass for a slight burnish or left matte per design intent.

Common questions

Intonachino Stucco — frequently asked.

Is intonachino suitable for the Atlanta climate?

Yes. Lime-based exteriors handle the humidity better than synthetic finishes precisely because they breathe. We have intonachino on Atlanta projects more than fifteen years old, still original.
