Natural Paint.
Mineral and natural-binder interior paints — low-VOC, breathable, and archivally stable. For interiors specified to a higher material standard.
What it is
Natural paints use mineral, casein, or plant-based binders rather than acrylic emulsions. Applied properly, they produce a deep matte finish with very low VOC emissions — appropriate for owners specifying healthier interior materials, or matching a building system designed to breathe.
Our process
From the first site visit to the final coat.
Every project follows a sequence — refined over thirty years and adapted to the substrate, climate, and finish system.
- 01
Substrate prep
Surface cleaned, primed with a compatible mineral or natural primer.
- 02
Two finish coats
Brushed or rolled application; spraying is rare.
Common questions
Natural Paint — frequently asked.
Are natural paints washable?
Yes, with mild detergent. Heavy scrubbing will shorten the finish life — appropriate for living spaces, less so for high-traffic mudrooms.
